Born from the streets of Johannesburg, lehco. was inspired by the simple but powerful act of women choosing beauty even when their surroundings offered none. From pavements and taxi ranks to office buildings and homes, one truth became clear — beauty is not about status or circumstance. It is about dignity.
Founded by a South African woman, lehco. was built with intention, resilience and belief. With limited resources but unlimited purpose, the brand with limited resources from the ground up — proving that meaningful businesses do not begin with abundance, but with vision.
In an industry where ownership is often exclusive, lehco. chose inclusion. A certain percent of the company’s equity is held by young women aged 25 to 35 from diverse social and professional backgrounds — including working professionals, students, general workers and unemployed women seeking opportunity.
These women are not representatives of the brand. They are co-owners. lehco. exists for ordinary South African women between the ages of 18 and 45 — young professionals building their futures, mothers balancing responsibility and ambition, daughters discovering confidence, and women evolving through every chapter of life.
